Cai Be floating market is a famous place in Mekong Delta, here the Tien River forms the border between Tien Giang, Vinh Long and Ben Tre Provinces.
BlueRiver Tours’s guide will pick up from your hotel in the early morning our boat will depart at Tan Cang Boat Pier (A100 Ung Van Khiem Str., Ward 25, Binh Thanh Dist., HCMC) to Cai Be for 70km from Ho Chi Minh city.
This trip provides an overview of this typical Vietnam. Up on arriving in Cai Be, we will take a motorized boat to visit Cai Be Floating Market. Here you can see the local people buying and selling on their boat. On each boat, goods are hung on poles that are called dialectically “cay beo”. Hundreds of such poles point the sky wards. Boats also operate like “taxis,” very convenient for tourists around the region.
Along the criss – crossing canals, people in the Plain of Reeds take not only goods of each countryside to the Cai Be Floating Market but also their unique cultural characteristics, creating such a beautiful river painting.
Next, you will see the process of coconut candy production and popcorn (or pop-rice) making by local people. Then you can sightseeing or relaxing on the hammock.
Finish enjoying your trip on the Mekong river and back to Saigon.
